News:
Healthy Food Drive a Success!!
the MVCA hosted its first “Healthy Food Drive” at the Onalaska Festival foods on May 17th. It was a beautiful day outside of a little rain at 5:00, and the day was certainly a success. While we did not weigh the food (estimated 1300 lbs!!), two vans full of food were hauled away to local food pantries. Equally exciting was the $450 of cash donations that were collected and donated to Wafer for perishable food items. The day not only provided an opportunity to fill food pantries, but to get chiropractors out in the public helping and talking with others.
I want to thank Denise Jones, Renata and John Anderson, Chad Schultz and family, Marty Lorenz ,Bob Wooley, Jake Peterson, Nyhus Schaffer, and Jerry Johnson all for volunteering their time on Saturday to help. Hopefully I did not forget anyone off of that list that helped out, if I did I apologize.
New Officers and Due Renewals
June started a new year for the MVCA. So, we want to encourage all of you to submit your new Membership applications and dues. Those dues are going to help the organization sponsor and organize events like the food drive, the military program, and future events in the works. For the new year Dr. Chad Schultz will be the new president with John Anderson as Vice President.
Denise Jones is serving as Treasure again and Membership dues of $120 for the year can be mailed to her at her office in West Salem. We look forward to continuing to work together and grow the participation of the group and our sense of community in the future.
